In LaRue's latter years she was aided by numerous fantastic people working for various organizations in Lincoln.

LaRue had a major stroke in 2017 the Stoke Rehabilitation team at Bryan West did their best to help LaRue return home as quickly as possible.

After the stroke and a period rehabilitation, LaRue was able to return home and with the enormous help of Glenda Johnson with Synergy Home Care, LaRue was able to return to her independent lifestyle.

In the last weeks following a fall in her home, LaRue and her family were supported by the Trauma and Palliative Care teams at Bryan West.

In the final week we were assisted by the hospice providers at St. Croix. The nurses and aides, especially Austin and Michelle helped us through the last moments in the most dignified way we could imagine.
